Job Title: Sewing Machinist – Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday– 07:00 – 15:00

Experienced sewing machinist required for the manufacture of various boat mooring accessories. The successful candidate will have experience of using a sewing machine and overlocker and able to produce a high volume of finished products. The ability to take measurements in imperial and metric is necessary as you will be required to work from job specific measurements and instructions.
As a sewing machinist/overlocker it will be your job to machine stitch fabric products together from cut pieces into finished products. Working in a small team, you will also often be required to cut fabric pieces from pattern templates, overlock, sew and finish an item and retail pack them.
You will receive full training on the cutting and production of the full product range. Most importantly, you will be willing to learn, to concentrate for long periods and keen to carry out work other than sewing (i.e. cutting/packing)
- Basic sewing machine/overlocker skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to a high standard, paying attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexibly
- A good communicator
- Organised, self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience working with industrial sewing machines and overlockers
- Basic IT skills
Full training will be given on start to finish production on each product
Full training on all machines and processes used, cutting to finishing
Full training on internal ICT systems
